This Full-Time, non-management Food and Beverage role within the renowned Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia property involves preparing banquet and buffet presentations to exacting standards. Employees in this role are responsible for ensuring the high quality and impeccable presentation of food items served during banquets and buffet events, utilizing various kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Key responsibilities include setting up and operating action stations, carving meats upon guest request, and maintaining adequate stock at banquet and buffet stations. The role also involves ingredient preparation, portioning, chopping, peeling, weighing, mixing, and cooking according to established recipes and standards. Maintaining kitchen hygiene is critical, including washing and disinfecting kitchen tools and equipment.
Beyond operational tasks, this position requires close adherence to safety and security policies, participation in safety training, and vigilant reporting of any maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to management. Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance and contribute to a team environment focused on achieving shared objectives. Physical demands include standing or walking for extended periods and handling objects up to 50 pounds. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $27.02 per hour.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- at least 2 years of related work experience
- ability to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens and grills
- ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- strong communication skills
- willingness to adhere to safety and security policies
