Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environment
  • knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices
  • ability to work full-time and flexible hours
  • capability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing for extended periods
  • ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
  • completion of any required food handler certification

  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to perform various cooking techniques
  • skillful knife handling and safe operation of kitchen equipment

Job Duties

  • Perform cooking procedures including sautéing, grilling, frying, baking, and roasting
  • operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • utilize knife skills to prepare ingredients including slicing, chopping, mincing, julienning, and dicing
  • prepare and store food according to sanitation and safety guidelines
  • follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
  • monitor finished products and communicate delays to leadership
  • clean and organize kitchen workstations, equipment, and walk-in coolers
