The Culinary Cook position at OKANA Resort and Indoor Water Park is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about the culinary arts. This role calls for creativity, motivation, and the drive to develop culinary talents with the mentorship of a skilled leadership team. The Cook supports food production and preparation across the kitchen, banquet areas, dining rooms, and fine dining experiences. This role involves hands-on food fabrication, recipe recreation, ingredient preparation, and maintaining kitchen sanitation and orderliness. It also includes a passive leadership role ensuring consistent production levels by the kitchen staff.
Ideal candidates have prior experience working in professional kitchen environments and a genuine eagerness to learn and grow. This role provides the chance to enhance skills in various cooking methods such as grilling, sautéing, and frying. Employees in this role gain valuable experience using knives and kitchen equipment and learn how to minimize food waste through smart cross-utilization. Job Duties
- assist the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining
