With a dedication to exceptional guest experiences, Augusta Marriott provides a vibrant work environment where team members can grow professionally while contributing to a world-class guest service culture. The hotel includes various departments, one of which is the Kitchen department, known for its commitment to culinary excellence and high standards in food preparation and presentation.

The Banquet Cook role at Augusta Marriott is crucial in supporting large-scale events by preparing and cooking food that meets the hotel's distinguished quality and presentation standards. This is an hourly, non-exempt position within the kitchen team, reporting directly to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef. The position demands strict adherence to food safety and health regulations, including proper labeling, dating, and storage of leftovers, as well as maintaining the highest standards of food quality and temperature.

The role also involves the safe operation of various kitchen machinery such as mixers, fryers, broilers, and ovens. You will be expected to perform additional duties as requested by supervisors, underscoring the collaborative nature of the kitchen team environment. Physical stamina, including the ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods and lift a minimum of 30 pounds, is essential for success in this role.

Working in this role at Augusta Marriott is not only about cooking but also about engaging with guests and co-workers professionally and courteously, handling conflict situations with grace, and maintaining a well-groomed professional appearance in line with the hotel’s dress code. Safety awareness is also a top priority; you will be expected to support all safety programs, report accidents immediately, proceed with caution on slippery floors, and ensure all kitchen operations comply with established safety standards.

This position offers more than just a job; it is an opportunity to engage, explore, and discover within the vibrant Marriott family. Employees gain access to exceptional travel benefits, an exciting hospitality career path, and a workplace culture that values dedication and professional growth. The flexibility of work schedules reflects the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry, with work hours varying week to week based on business demands, and the possibility of shift changes as necessary.
