Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of English and local language
  • Ability to communicate with guests and associates in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to handle conflict situations professionally
  • Be well groomed and adhere to the hotel's dress code
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
  • Ability to visually check work, work area, and hotel space
  • Minimum lifting of 30 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a banquet or large-scale food preparation environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • Ability to operate kitchen machinery safely
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and co-workers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Good physical stamina for prolonged standing and lifting

Job Duties

  • Prepare large quantities of food according to recipes and station checklists
  • Execute high-volume, timed plating for events and set up and maintain buffet stations
  • Learn all menu items produced in immediate area
  • Ensure food meets presentation and temperature standards, taste and test items for quality
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations including proper labeling, dating, and storage of leftovers
  • Safely operate kitchen machinery like mixers, fryers, broilers, and ovens
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
