Job Requirements
- Minimum of three years culinary supervisory or management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Willingness to embrace and master new technologies
- Knowledge of menu development and food concepts
- Basic budget analysis skills
- Flexible availability to work weekends and holidays
- Experience in luxury hotel environment preferred
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three years culinary supervisory or management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to embrace and master new operating systems and technologies
- Knowledge of implementing new food concepts and menus
- Budgetary analysis skills are a plus
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Luxury hotel experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare and order all items for Banquet Event Orders and create order sheets and inventory systems to ensure proper stock levels
- Manage inventory and control of all equipment and china with the Executive Steward
- Execute all production and plating in a timely, efficient manner meeting and exceeding guest expectations
- Attend BEO meetings, communicate information to banquet kitchen department, oversee banquet production flow and adjust to adhere to cost and quality control procedures
- Oversee daily banquet kitchen operations including recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising sous chefs and cooks while enforcing policies
- Lead and assist in food preparation during banquets and events
- Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation and storage areas according to state and local sanitation codes
- Prepare weekly kitchen work schedules and distribute them timely
- Estimate daily production needs weekly and communicate to kitchen personnel daily
- Oversee and create employee dining room menus and experience
- Prepare and cook food for regular service and special guests or functions
- Maintain purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
- Create WOW moments and perform additional duties as assigned
