The Banquet Chef position at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, managed by Aramark, offers a unique opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about their craft and leadership. This full-time position provides a competitive salary along with a sign-on bonus that is awarded after the successful completion of the first 90 days of employment. Additionally, relocation assistance is offered for candidates who need to move closer to the Philadelphia area. The Banquet Chef will be a key player within an accomplished culinary leadership team, responsible not only for food preparation but also for training and mentoring kitchen staff, supervising culinary activities, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are upheld.

Responsibilities extend from managing food production and maintaining standardized recipes to coordinating special catering events and possibly offering culinary instruction or demonstrations. Job Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of hands-on banquet experience
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree

  • verbal, reading, and written communication skills
  • strong leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate large teams in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
