Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • three to six months related experience or training
  • must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
  • strong knowledge of banquet operations and event execution
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to coordinate with multiple teams
  • leadership skills to guide and support staff
  • detail-oriented and organized
  • ability to adjust service quality during events
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • availability for flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays
  • regular and reliable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or three to six months related experience or training or equivalent combination
  • must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
  • strong knowledge of banquet operations, service standards, and event execution
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to coordinate with kitchen staff, event coordinators, and service teams
  • ability to guide and support staff including conducting pre-shift meetings
  • detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • ability to evaluate service quality and make real-time adjustments
  • knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
  • flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • commitment to regular and reliable attendance

Job Duties

  • Reviews assigned banquet staff functions and banquet menus prior to events
  • conducts pre-banquet meetings to ensure appearance, hygiene standards, assign stations and review event orders
  • communicates with Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or event coordinator to confirm details and changes
  • ensures appropriate quantities of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other items are available
  • checks room setup and confirms food quantities and timing with Executive Chef
  • ensures proper handling and storage of equipment after use
  • conducts random audits during functions to evaluate food and service quality
  • regularly reviews banquet schedule for changes and special events
  • incorporates safe work practices
  • maintains regular and reliable attendance
  • performs other duties as required
