Renowned for their commitment to excellence and innovation in the entertainment industry, OVG offers a thriving work environment that attracts passionate professionals dedicated to enhancing the live entertainment experience for millions of guests worldwide.

One of OVG's signature managed locations is the Palm Springs Convention Center, a premier destination situated in the heart of the Coachella Valley. OVG oversees food and beverage operations at this venue, delivering outstanding culinary programs and services that elevate the event experience. The offering includes convention concessions, premium catering, banquet services, and custom event dining, all designed to provide a memorable and seamless experience for guests.

The Banquet Captain role at OVG is an integral position dedicated to coordinating all facets of banquet service with a focus on outstanding guest satisfaction and smooth execution. Responsible for supervising the banquet service staff, the Banquet Captain works closely with culinary teams, event coordinators, and service personnel to meticulously plan and execute event details, ensuring compliance with service standards, timelines, and event specifications. This role demands a sharp attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the agility to adapt to dynamic event circumstances, maintaining professionalism and service excellence under pressure.

Typical responsibilities include leading pre-event staff meetings to review banquet menus and event orders, coordinating equipment and supply availability, reviewing room setups, and conducting in-event audits to guarantee quality service delivery. The Banquet Captain also ensures compliance with food handling and safety standards while seeking opportunities to enhance guest experiences through attentive service and upselling.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22.00 to $25.00 and is part-time with benefits, including a 401(k) savings plan. Exceptional applicants will bring a reliable work ethic, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays according to event demands, and a commitment to OVG's values of diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity.
