The Banquet Captain role at Hilton is a key position within the food and beverage department focused on elevating the banquet event experience. This role is responsible for overseeing the setup, service, and tear-down of banquet functions, ensuring each event meets Hilton's high standards of service and hospitality. As a Banquet Captain, you will be actively involved in delighting guests by bringing a positive and friendly attitude to every interaction. You will supervise and coordinate food and beverage service during a range of banquet events such as breakfasts, luncheons, cocktail receptions, and galas, continually monitoring guest satisfaction and addressing service quality promptly.

In addition to hands-on leadership during events, the Banquet Captain supports event execution by assisting with the planning, organizing, and seamless operation of banquet functions. Collaboration is essential as you will lead or participate in department meetings to ensure the team is well-prepared and aligned for operations. Also, this role includes handling banquet billing accurately and ensuring smooth payment transactions. You will uphold regulatory compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in banquet or food and beverage service
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Monitor and promptly address any issues related to product or service quality during events
