Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests daily across 15 countries. As a company rooted in service and united by a strong purpose, Aramark is dedicated to doing great things for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The company fosters an inclusive workplace where every employee enjoys equal employment opportunities and is encouraged to participate fully in the organization's growth and culture. Aramark values diversity and ensures non-discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, protected veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic. This commitment makes Aramark an employer of choice in the food and facilities service industries.
The Banquet Captain role at Aramark is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing banquet and event service operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences. This role serves as the lead point of contact during various events such as meetings, conferences, weddings, and special occasions. The Banquet Captain coordinates banquet staff, monitors service standards, and makes certain that all event details are executed efficiently and professionally. Working closely with management, culinary teams, and event staff, this position plays a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of events and guest satisfaction.
A significant part of the Banquet Captain's responsibilities includes supervising banquet servers and support staff, coordinating event setups and service execution in alignment with client specifications, and conducting pre-event meetings to clarify service expectations and assign staff duties. The role demands vigilance in monitoring banquet service to ensure timely and professional delivery of food and beverages and maintaining high presentation and cleanliness standards in event spaces. The Banquet Captain also acts as the primary contact for banquet service staff during events and handles any operational issues as they arise.
In addition, the Banquet Captain collaborates closely with culinary, catering, and management teams to facilitate smooth event operations. The position includes responsibilities for training, coaching, and developing banquet staff to uphold superior service standards and enhance guest relations. Addressing guest requests, concerns, and special accommodations promptly and professionally is another critical component of this role. Compliance with food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety standards is mandatory.
The Banquet Captain also assists with verifying event details before guest arrival, managing inventory and the proper care of banquet equipment and supplies, completing event documentation, and providing feedback to improve operational processes. This role requires flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events, adapting to the dynamic nature of event services. The position demands a hands-on approach in supporting additional food and beverage operations as needed.
At Aramark, developing new skills and taking initiative to meet job commitments positively impacts both employees and customers. The company emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and a proactive mindset as job duties may evolve or shift without formal notice to meet the company's broader goals.
