The Banquet Captain role at Stanly Ranch invites passionate hospitality professionals to join this dynamic team dedicated to excellence in service. This position is a service-driven leadership role centered on supervising and coordinating banquet functions to ensure seamless and exceptional event experiences. As a Banquet Captain, you will act as the primary liaison among clients, banquet staff, culinary teams, bar services, and management throughout all stages of event execution. The role demands exceptional attention to detail in bringing every Banquet Event Order (BEO) to life with precision and excellence, making sure that each guest’s experience is memorable and flawless.

Candidates for the Banquet Captain position should expect to manage event setups, service progression, and breakdown efficiently, while maintaining high standards of guest service and satisfaction. This role includes supervising banquet staff, managing real-time event communications, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and assisting with inventory and equipment handling. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability for both AM and PM shifts and weekends, reflecting the nature of hospitality and event services. The starting pay rate for this position is $35.00 per hour, with salary decisions influenced by experience and education.

  • RBS training required
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous banquet captain experience preferred
  • Strong leadership organizational and communication skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast paced environment

Job Duties

  • Supervise banquet staff during events assigning duties and ensuring proper setup service and breakdown of function rooms
  • Ensure events are executed according to Banquet Event Orders including room setup timelines and guest service standards
  • Communicate directly with clients during events attend to special requests and ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen bar and event management teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction throughout the event addressing issues promptly and professionally
  • Oversee beverage consumption ensuring accurate tracking proper service and adherence to alcohol service policies
  • Finalize banquet checks at the end of the night and post charges to master accounts accurately
