This approach has earned HVMG a reputation as one of the best management companies within the hospitality industry, demonstrating true leadership from the corporate office to the field.
The role of Banquet Captain at HVMG is essential in delivering seamless and memorable events through effective team leadership and meticulous attention to detail. As a Banquet Captain, you will oversee and coordinate banquet operations to ensure that every event—from setup through breakdown—meets and exceeds client expectations. This involves supervising banquet staff, managing event logistics, and acting as the primary contact during functions. Reporting directly to the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Captain plays a critical leadership role in guiding the banquet team and fostering a culture of excellent hospitality service.
In this position, you are responsible for guaranteeing flawless execution of events by managing timelines, coordinating service staff, and addressing client needs in real time. The Banquet Captain's role is not only crucial in ensuring guest satisfaction but also provides a pathway for career progression within the hospitality industry. Many Banquet Captains at HVMG have advanced into key management roles such as Banquet Manager, Event Planner, or Director of Catering and Conference Services, reflecting the company’s commitment to professional development.
HVMG supports its associates through flexible scheduling, competitive benefits—including full healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan with guaranteed matching contributions, and Paid Time Off (PTO). Unique perks such as access to wages before payday using PayActive and exclusive hotel and food and beverage discounts further enhance the employee experience. Candidates for the Banquet Captain role should bring strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, a warm and professional demeanor, and a genuine passion for hospitality. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a reputable organization that values growth, diversity, and operational excellence.
