About the Role

As a Banquet Captain, you will lead the banquet team to ensure flawless execution of events from setup through to breakdown. The role requires coordinating the service staff, managing timelines, and acting as the main point of contact between clients and the banquet team throughout the event. This leadership position is perfect for someone with excellent organizational skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to deliver exceptional service during high-pressure situations. Reporting to the Banquet Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of banquet events, supervise banquet personnel, and coordinate logistics to guarantee every function exceeds client expectations.

Job Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required with or without accommodations
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • sufficient education and literacy to identify product labels and communicate job-related needs
  • previous experience in banquet or related hospitality roles required

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as banquet captain preferred
  • experience in similar or related hospitality roles required
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • warm and professional demeanor
  • basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • experience in hotel banquet settings a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead banquet team in executing events flawlessly
  • supervise banquet staff during setup, event, and breakdown
  • coordinate event logistics with internal departments and clients
  • liaise directly with clients during events as the main point of contact
  • manage event timelines and ensure all details meet client expectations
  • report daily operations and challenges to the Banquet Manager
  • assist in training new banquet staff
