Job Description

Heritage Hotels & Resorts is recognized as New Mexico's premier locally owned hospitality group, deeply rooted in the appreciation of culture, place, and people. This esteemed establishment prides itself on offering luxury accommodations and award-winning dining experiences that emphasize authentic storytelling, exceptional service, and strong community connections. The organization values creating meaningful and memorable guest experiences while fostering a workplace environment that prioritizes care for employees, guests, and local neighborhoods alike. Known for their passionate commitment to hospitality, Heritage Hotels & Resorts champions a people-first culture characterized by respect, support, and community pride, making it a distinguished name in the hospitality industry in New Mexico.

The role of Banquet Captain at Heritage Hotels & Resorts is integral to maintaining the high standards and impeccable service the group is known for. As a Banquet Captain, you will assume a leadership position directly responsible for coordinating on-floor banquet and event operations. This role demands a detail-oriented, proactive leader who can ensure flawless execution and seamless service flow during events. Your leadership will be key to fostering a team environment where service excellence is paramount, guaranteeing that every guest enjoys an outstanding and memorable experience.

In this position, you will oversee the banquet service staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, conducting pre-shift briefings, and maintaining clear communication channels among employees, management, and guests. You will monitor every aspect of event delivery in real time, from service standards and timelines to presentation requirements, and take decisive action to resolve any guest concerns or operational challenges. Additionally, you will serve as the primary on-site contact for clients and event planners when the Banquet Manager is unavailable, coordinating with suppliers to optimize efficiency and control costs. Ensuring compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies is a crucial part of this role, along with assisting in setup, service, and teardown tasks as needed.

Beyond operational responsibilities, you will play a vital role in training and coaching banquet team members to promote a culture of service excellence. Meticulous record-keeping and maintaining a professional appearance and work environment are fundamental to representing the Heritage Hotels & Resorts brand. This position not only demands robust leadership and communication skills but also a genuine passion for hospitality that aligns with the company’s values and mission. If you are motivated by creating exceptional experiences and thrive in dynamic, high-volume environments, this opportunity will provide you with fulfilling career growth and the chance to be part of a respected hospitality organization.
