Job Description

Concord Hospitality is a renowned hospitality company specializing in hotel and event management with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Operating numerous award-winning hotels across the United States, Concord Hospitality prides itself on its commitment to quality, integrity, and fostering a supportive community within the workplace. Known for its robust "Associate First" culture, Concord Hospitality focuses on investing in its employees through comprehensive training, career development opportunities, and a positive work environment that values inclusivity and diversity. This dedication is rooted in their five Cornerstones—Quality, Integrity, Community, Profitability, and FUN—that drive every aspect of their operations.

As a Banquet Captain at Concord Hospitality, you will hold a critical leadership role that ensures the flawless execution of a wide range of events, from corporate meetings and training sessions to receptions and social reunions. Working in close collaboration with the Banquet Manager, you will oversee the banquet staff, ensuring that food and beverage services are coordinated smoothly and that service standards are consistently met or exceeded. This role demands a hands-on leader who not only supervises but also motivates and develops their team to provide exemplary guest service and maintain high-quality event standards.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining comprehensive knowledge of departmental policies and service procedures, leading the banquet team by example, and personally overseeing the flow of service to guarantee exceptional guest satisfaction. You will greet guests warmly and anticipate their needs, managing the service during events seamlessly. Additionally, you will assist with food and beverage delivery during peak times to ensure service efficiency.

A key part of your role is training banquet staff on proper service techniques tailored to various types of events such as plated meals, buffet setups, and reception-style gatherings. Your oversight extends to the entire lifecycle of banquet events—from setup through to execution and breakdown—making sure all aspects are completed efficiently and safely. You will also be responsible for maintaining clean, organized, and safe service areas at all times.

This position requires strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to foster a motivated and cohesive team that upholds Concord Hospitality's high standards. The ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced event environment is essential. Moreover, the role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. The physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods and lifting moderate weights when necessary.

Concord Hospitality offers competitive wages, full medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability options. Additional benefits include a 401(k) plan with company match, tuition assistance, discounted room rates at Concord-managed hotels, and ample opportunities for training, development, and career advancement. By joining Concord Hospitality, you'll become part of a welcoming and engaging workplace where your contributions help create exceptional hospitality experiences. The company’s dedication to being a Great Place to Work ensures you are supported, valued, and can grow alongside a community of passionate hospitality professionals.
