The Banquet Captain at Meadowlark Golf Club plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of all banquet and event operations. Reporting alongside the club's Events Manager, the Banquet Captain oversees the banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support personnel, ensuring that every event meets the club’s high standards for service and professionalism. This position demands a detail-oriented, customer-focused leader who can manage multiple responsibilities seamlessly, from setup and guest interaction to breakdown and feedback. The Banquet Captain collaborates closely with event planners and clients to understand event expectations and tailor service delivery accordingly. Job Duties

  • Collaborate with event planners, clients, and internal teams to understand event requirements and expectations
  • Supervise banquet staff including servers, bartenders, and support staff

  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces ensuring proper placement of tables, chairs, linens, and decorations
  • Conduct pre-event inspections to ensure all details are in place
  • Interact with clients and guests to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded
  • Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally
