The role of Banquet Captain at Heritage Hotels & Resorts is a vital leadership position within the banquet and event services team. This full-time position is essential to ensuring flawless execution and seamless service flow at a variety of events hosted across the luxury properties. Reporting directly to the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Captain acts as the on-floor coordinator, overseeing the banquet service staff and driving operational excellence. Through clear communication, strong leadership, and uncompromising attention to detail, the Banquet Captain ensures every event not only meets but exceeds guest expectations. Responsibilities include conducting pre-shift briefings, managing staffing levels, monitoring event progress in real time, and serving as the primary on-site contact during events when the Banquet Manager is not available.

Candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where multitasking, problem-solving, and superior organizational skills are necessary for success. The role demands a professional yet personable approach to guest service, with a focus on cultivating positive relationships with guests, colleagues, suppliers, and event planners. The Banquet Captain maintains a strong emphasis on compliance with food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company safety standards. This position also supports the training and coaching of banquet team members to build a cohesive, motivated team capable of delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.

This position offers competitive pay ranging from $23 to $26 hourly, comprehensive benefits including a 25% match for 401k, generous employee discounts across the hotel's restaurants, spa, and retail outlets, complimentary meals during shifts, free employee parking, and opportunities for career advancement across multiple hotel locations. Heritage Hotels & Resorts is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where employees are recognized for their contributions and supported in their professional journeys. If you are passionate about hospitality and ready to lead with heart in a meaningful role, the Banquet Captain position at Heritage Hotels & Resorts provides a rewarding career opportunity within one of New Mexico’s most respected luxury hospitality groups.
