Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous hospitality experience preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and moving frequently
- availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- knowledge of safety and sanitation policies
- teamwork and communication skills
- willingness to learn and lead by example
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing and math skills
- previous hospitality experience preferred
- ability to train and develop staff
- knowledge of banquet service procedures
- strong communication skills
- ability to perform opening and closing duties
- wine and alcohol serving experience
- familiarity with POS systems
Job Duties
- Overseeing the set-up and break down of banquet function
- supervise food and beverage service throughout banquet functions to ensure quality service and product quality
- assist with the planning, organizing and execution of all banquet functions including breakfast, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail reception
- ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service and respond to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- ability to train new banquet staff and work alongside them to develop skillset and knowledge
- maintains current knowledge of hotel culture, amenities, and services, events in the area, points of interest, and services in the area
