Job Description

Dream Nashville is a distinguished hospitality establishment known for offering exceptional banquet and event services in the vibrant heart of Nashville. As a reputed name in the hospitality industry, Dream Nashville prides itself on delivering superior guest experiences with a focus on impeccable service, attention to detail, and a welcoming atmosphere. The company fosters a culture that values dedication, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality, making it a preferred destination for various group functions, including corporate events, weddings, receptions, and private parties. With an emphasis on maintaining high standards in all aspects of banquet management and guest interaction, Dream Nashville is committed to creating memorable moments for every guest and client it serves.

The role of Banquet Captain at Dream Nashville is both dynamic and integral to the seamless operation of all banquet functions. This position requires an individual who is excited, qualified, and hard-working, with a strong commitment to superior guest service and a passion for hospitality. As a leader within the banquet team, the Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing the set-up and break down of banquet events, supervising food and beverage service, and ensuring that every function runs smoothly and meets the highest standards. The Banquet Captain acts as a vital link between front-of-house and back-of-house teams by coordinating with support staff, managers, and chefs to deliver outstanding service.

Beyond supervising the operational aspects, the Banquet Captain plays a key role in guest satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and maintaining a friendly, professional attitude throughout events. Training and developing new banquet staff is also a significant responsibility, helping to cultivate a knowledgeable and skilled team. This role demands excellent communication skills, mastery of proper food and beverage service techniques—including wine and alcohol service—and the ability to manage transactions such as cash collection and credit card authorizations. Additionally, the Banquet Captain must adhere strictly to company safety and sanitation policies, promoting a safe work environment for all staff.

Given the physical demands of the position, the ideal candidate will be capable of regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, standing and moving about for extended periods, and working in varying temperature conditions around heavy equipment. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is also required given the nature of the banquet industry. Past hospitality experience is preferred to ensure familiarity with the nuances of guest service and event management.

Overall, the Banquet Captain at Dream Nashville is entrusted with delivering professional, personalized, and exceptional service that elevates the guest experience at every event. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and committed to excellence, to grow within a supportive team environment and contribute to the continued success of Dream Nashville's banquet operations.
