Job Description
Legends/ASM Global is a prominent leader in the live entertainment industry, specializing in the management of venues that host a diverse range of events including concerts, sporting events, and conventions. This company is recognized for creating memorable experiences through exceptional service and operational excellence across its global portfolio of arenas, stadiums, theaters, and convention centers. With a commitment to innovation and quality, Legends/ASM Global continuously strives to exceed customer expectations, fostering a dynamic environment where employees contribute to the success of major events and memorable moments for patrons.
This role focuses on managing the banquet food and beverage service operations within the venue. The position requires an individual with strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills to oversee the training and performance of servers, cashiers, and bartenders in delivering outstanding banquet services. The primary responsibility involves fulfilling Banquet Event Orders (BEO) to ensure seamless execution of catering services tailored to each event's specific requirements. Maintaining banquet equipment cleanliness and coordinating annual maintenance schedules are also crucial aspects of the role, alongside upholding health and safety standards, including maintaining a Health Department score of 90 or above.
Creativity is key for this position, particularly in designing buffet layouts and coffee break décor that enhance the event experience. The banquet manager must exercise meticulous attention to detail and consistency to uphold service quality across all events. This hands-on role involves significant interaction with clients during events, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are promptly addressed. Supervising the team to maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace is essential to support efficient operations and a positive staff environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in banquet facility servicing for large events, along with a valid Indiana Pourer's Permit. Effective communication skills and a strong orientation toward customer service are necessary to collaborate with other facility staff and meet guest expectations. This position also demands flexibility with working hours, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late nights, reflecting the demanding nature of event scheduling.
Physical demands include frequent stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, substantial walking, and manual dexterity to operate food and beverage equipment. The banquet manager will be responsible for fostering a safe, happy workplace where all employees feel valued and empowered to perform their duties effectively. Computer proficiency, particularly in Excel, is important for managing inventory, schedules, and reporting.
Working at Legends/ASM Global offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering premium event experiences while developing professional skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role not only impacts the smooth delivery of food and beverage services but also contributes to the overall success and reputation of the venue as a leading entertainment destination.
