Job Description

Cherokee Town & Country Club, established in 1956, is renowned as one of America’s premier private clubs. With two distinguished locations – the Town Club in Buckhead, situated on the historic Grant Estate, and the Country Club near the scenic Chattahoochee River in Sandy Springs – Cherokee offers an exceptional environment blending elegance with top-tier amenities. Known for commitment to excellence, the club has repeatedly earned numerous honors and awards for its outstanding facilities, exceptional dining experiences, and exemplary member services. The club is deeply rooted in a culture of positivity and service, promoting a "What can I do? How can I help?" attitude among its staff, all of whom are held to the celebrated "Cherokee Standard." This standard embodies high expectations, dedication, and a strong work ethic, creating a workplace that values employees’ contributions and fosters a supportive, rewarding environment.

The position of Full-Time Banquet Bartender at Cherokee Town & Country Club is integral to delivering the club’s high standard of hospitality to its members and their guests. This role involves far more than just mixing and serving drinks; it requires an individual who is dedicated to providing friendly, attentive, and courteous service that enhances the overall member experience. The Banquet Bartender will be responsible for setting up and breaking down the bar at events, ensuring that it is well-stocked with all necessary supplies, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace throughout their shift. They will expertly prepare classic cocktails, serve beer, wine, and spirits accurately, manage beverage charges, and ensure proper ticketing for member approvals. Additionally, daily collaboration with the Banquet Manager and participation in pre-shift meetings to understand event specifics is an essential part of the role.

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $23.00, negotiable based on experience. Employees enjoy a variety of excellent benefits, including free on-duty meals, free parking, a work uniform, employee access to golf on most Mondays, and opportunities for employee recognition and appreciation events. Additionally, a discount on MARTA transit is provided, supporting convenient commuting options.

In fulfillment of the club’s mission to be in the "happiness business," the Banquet Bartender is expected to demonstrate professionalism, maintain composure and a positive demeanor, and contribute towards creating an enjoyable, welcoming atmosphere during banquets and special events. This role is perfect for someone passionate about hospitality, skilled in bartending, and eager to be part of a prestigious private club environment that values employee growth and member satisfaction. Joining Cherokee Town & Country Club means becoming part of an esteemed team that prides itself on service excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement, making it an exceptional place to advance your bartending career while enjoying meaningful employee perks.
