Job Description
Pacific Hospitality Group is a distinguished hospitality company known for its owner/operator approach that emphasizes long-term holds, sustainable growth, and a commitment to enriching people's lives. As a family-focused enterprise, Pacific Hospitality Group fosters a culture of integrity, respect, and service, prioritizing memorable guest experiences and community involvement. Their vision reflects a dedication to value creation and principled entrepreneurship, honoring faith and ethical business practices at all levels. This approach has enabled the company to build a reputation for excellence within the hospitality industry, spanning hotel management, banquet services, and event coordination.
The Banquet Bartender position at Pacific Hospitality Group plays a vital role in enhancing the guest experience during various banquet functions such as weddings, conferences, meetings, and special events. This position demands a high level of professionalism, efficiency, and hospitality skill to provide exceptional beverage service. The Banquet Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while strictly adhering to company recipes, presentation standards, and responsible alcohol service laws. Along with delivering prompt and courteous guest service, the bartender must ensure compliance with age verification and alcohol service regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable event environment.
In addition to beverage preparation, the Banquet Bartender will help coordinate with banquet captains, servers, and culinary teams to facilitate seamless event execution. Responsibilities include setting up and stocking banquet bars, maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and assisting with equipment transport and event breakdown. This role requires the ability to work flexible schedules that often include evenings, weekends, holidays, and other special event times.
The role is ideal for candidates with prior bartending experience within hospitality sectors such as restaurants, hotels, catering, or banquet services. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation, along with excellent customer service skills. A key component of the job involves managing cash-handling tasks and operating POS systems, so basic math skills are essential. Certifications related to alcohol service and food handling, as required by local regulations, are necessary to fulfill the role's compliance standards.
The health and safety of guests and staff are paramount, meaning the Banquet Bartender must follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures diligently. Additionally, physical demands of the position include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and transporting items up to 50 pounds, and performing frequent repetitive movements such as reaching and bending. The company encourages a respectful, inclusive work environment where equal employment opportunities are provided without discrimination.
Overall, the Banquet Bartender is an integral part of Pacific Hospitality Group’s banquet and food & beverage operations, contributing significantly to the company’s mission of delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding the highest standards of hospitality and service excellence.
