The position of Banquet Bartender at Grand Oaks Country Club offers an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious and supportive team in a dynamic, event-driven environment. The role is available in part-time, full-time, and on-call capacities, making it flexible to accommodate different schedules. The hourly compensation for this role is $16.50. The Banquet Bartender is essential in providing high-quality beverage services during various events hosted by the club. This position requires proficiency in mixing and serving drinks according to specific recipes and guest preferences, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements related to alcohol service. Candidates must be 21 years or older and have previous experience in a catering hall or restaurant setting, although those without experience may start as banquet servers.

The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, delivering prompt and courteous service to all guests. Responsibilities include preparing and breaking down bar stations, managing inventory, handling cash-out processes accurately, enforcing alcohol service laws, and collaborating with the event team including management and Maître D's. The position also offers an opportunity to enhance one’s bartending skills while contributing to the success of a variety of events ranging from intimate dinners to large-scale weddings. Job Duties

  • Efficiently and consistently produce high-quality beverages in a fast-paced setting
  • provide excellent customer service to guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience
  • follow recipes provided by the banquet hall
  • set up and break down bar stations before and after events, ensuring all supplies are stocked, organized and clean
  • prepare and serve beverages according to event specifications and guest requests
  • maintain a clean, neat, and organized bar area throughout the event
  • greeting guests with a smile and provide prompt and professional service
  • strictly enforce all legal procedures related to serving alcohol, including checking IDs and refusing service to intoxicated guests
  • adhere to all state and local health and safety regulations
  • immediately report any unsafe conditions, equipment failures, or incidents to management
  • communicate effectively with management and event Maître D's and all staff members
  • assist with other event-related tasks as needed
  • accurately track and manage bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, and garnishes
  • complete end-of-event cash-out procedures and report any discrepancies to management
