Within this inspiring framework, the Banquet Bartender role at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa—which is part of the Accor family—positions you at the heart of Wine Country in an elegant Spanish mission-style Inn. This role involves preparing beverages for banquet guests, adhering strictly to Accor’s standards, the SMI recipes, and presentation guidelines to ensure cost-efficiency and exceptional service quality. The Banquet Bartender is pivotal in maintaining compliance with all relevant liquor laws during each banquet event and across all service locations. This position demands a strong focus on high service standards, ensuring the accurate provision of all liquors as outlined in the Banquet Event Order (BEO). You will contribute directly to an outstanding guest experience by mixing and serving drinks with professionalism, efficiency, and hospitality.

Job Requirements

  • must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

  • previous bartending experience required
  • strong knowledge of alcohol and beverage service
  • excellent customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • previous bartending experience in a luxury event space
  • strong knowledge of cocktails, liquor, beer, and wine
  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • WSET level 2 certification preferred
  • open availability including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • prepare beverages for guests according to SMI recipes and guidelines
  • ensure compliance with all liquor laws during preparation, serving, and consumption
  • maintain high service standards for all banquet events
  • provide all liquors outlined in banquet event orders
  • manage inventory and ensure accountability for beverage costs
  • collaborate with banquet staff and servers to meet event requirements
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
