Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Valid bartending license if required by local laws
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 60lbs
- Ability to bend stoop and reach
- Must be at least the legal drinking age
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle cash and use POS systems
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Knowledge of cocktail recipes wine beer and spirits
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy environment
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Must have a valid bartending license if required by local laws and adhere to all state and local alcohol regulations
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including cocktails beer wine and spirits
- Greet guests in a friendly courteous and professional manner
- Take drink orders from guests and serve drinks promptly
- Set up your bar station and clean up your bar station promptly
- Ensure that all drinks are served according to established recipes and specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area including cleaning glassware equipment and surfaces
- Verify the age of customers to ensure they meet the legal drinking age
- Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption and intervene as necessary to ensure responsible drinking
- Keep track of inventory levels and report low stock or shortages to the Banquet/Events Manager
- Assist with setting up the bar area for service including stocking supplies ice garnishes and glasses
- Process customer payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash credit or debit transactions
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and positive manner
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth bar operations
- Follow all safety sanitation and health regulations in accordance with local laws and company policies
- Maintain knowledge of the menu including food items ingredients and preparation methods
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as required
- Attend training and meetings as necessary to stay informed about new products techniques and company policies
