This role is for a Beverage Server within one of Driftwood Hospitality Management's establishments, where the individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring guests receive exemplary service in a friendly and timely manner. The Beverage Server will be responsible for preparing and serving various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, managing cash transactions with accuracy, maintaining bar stocks and supplies, and ensuring compliance with liquor regulations. The position involves direct interaction with guests, requiring excellent communication skills, manual dexterity, and a deep knowledge of drink preparation and presentation. The Beverage Server will also be expected to uphold safety and cleanliness standards, manage inventory related to the bar area, and perform general cleaning tasks as assigned. Key responsibilities include greeting guests, mixing and garnishing drinks according to recipes, managing cash and vouchers, securing the bar and related equipment, answering the bar phone promptly, and documenting orders meticulously.
Ideal candidates will possess a current Food Handler Card, understand state, federal, and corporate liquor laws especially concerning serving minors and intoxicated guests, and demonstrate basic mathematical and English language skills necessary for operations involving cash and written documentation. The job demands physical stamina such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds repeatedly, and the ability to navigate busy environments safely. Job Requirements
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations regarding alcoholic beverage service
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
- Basic mathematical skills for cash register operation and transactions
- Basic English writing skills
- Manual dexterity including ability to use a knife, mix drinks and handle glassware
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
- Ability to apply written labeling and safety instructions
- Ability to recall and promote menu items
- Ability to operate beverage equipment
- Physically able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing and seeing required
Job Qualifications
- Current Food Handler Card

Job Duties
- Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
- Prepare beverages for other servers
- Act as cashier for the lounge
- Greet guests courteously and document drink orders
- Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- Maintain proper bar setup including requisitioning and stocking supplies
- Cut, stock and store fresh fruit, garnishes, juices and perishables daily
- Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record and balance vouchers
- Lock up and store beverages, food and equipment, deposit cash drops and secure bank
- Answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders accurately
- Input orders into POS system and maintain accountability
- Perform cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Use protective equipment as required
- Report accidents, injuries and property damage
- Maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
- Assist other beverage personnel when needed
