Job Requirements

Hold a current Food Handler Card
Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations regarding alcoholic beverage service
Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
Basic mathematical skills for cash register operation and transactions
Basic English writing skills
Manual dexterity including ability to use a knife, mix drinks and handle glassware
Ability to understand and communicate in English
Ability to apply written labeling and safety instructions
Ability to recall and promote menu items
Ability to operate beverage equipment
Physically able to lift up to 30 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing and seeing required

Job Qualifications

Current Food Handler Card
Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
Basic math skills for cash handling and portion control
Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
Ability to use a knife and beverage equipment effectively
Ability to communicate and understand basic English
Ability to remember and promote menu items
Ability to operate coffee maker and similar equipment
Basic knowledge of product labeling and safety procedures

Job Duties

Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
Prepare beverages for other servers
Act as cashier for the lounge
Greet guests courteously and document drink orders
Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
Maintain proper bar setup including requisitioning and stocking supplies
Cut, stock and store fresh fruit, garnishes, juices and perishables daily
Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record and balance vouchers
Lock up and store beverages, food and equipment, deposit cash drops and secure bank
Answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders accurately
Input orders into POS system and maintain accountability
Perform cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Follow safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions
Know fire prevention and emergency procedures
Use protective equipment as required
Report accidents, injuries and property damage
Maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
Perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
Assist other beverage personnel when needed
