Job Description
The iconic Beverly Hilton has been a landmark in the hospitality industry since 1955, hosting some of the most memorable moments in history ranging from dazzling red-carpet events to star-studded celebrity galas. Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, this prestigious hotel combines the excitement and glamour of Hollywood with the upscale elegance that Beverly Hills is known for. The Beverly Hilton is not just a hotel—it's an experience where luxury meets tradition, and every guest is treated to exceptional service in a setting that is both historic and vibrant.
As part of the Hilton portfolio, The Beverly Hilton inherits a global reputation for outstanding hospitality and impeccable service standards. Hilton itself is a worldwide leader in the hotel and resort industry, known for its innovation, commitment to quality, and exceptional workplace culture. At The Beverly Hilton, this reputation is enhanced by its unique position as a venue for high-profile events that often attract international attention. Joining this team means becoming part of a tradition of excellence and a culture that values teamwork, integrity, and leadership.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Banquet Barback to join our dynamic Banquets Team. This position is crucial for maintaining the flow of service during various banquet events, ensuring that every detail behind the bar runs smoothly and efficiently. The Banquet Barback will support the bartenders by preparing fresh ingredients such as cutting, slicing, and peeling garnishes and fruits and mixing juices. They will also ensure the bar is fully stocked with all essentials including glassware, ice, produce, condiments, and paper products.
In this full-time, union position under the Local Union, complete open availability is required. While full-time hours are not guaranteed initially and depend on seniority and business needs, team members must be comfortable with varying schedules and work hours. Responsibilities also include managing beer kegs and taps to facilitate uninterrupted service, assisting with inventory management by retrieving orders and reconciling stock, and maintaining the cleanliness of bar and storage areas. The Banquet Barback must adhere to all regulatory standards related to health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness, ensuring the highest standards of safety and well-being for all guests and staff.
The role goes beyond mere preparation; it embodies the spirit of hospitality by contributing to memorable experiences that brighten every guest's day. The position offers an opportunity to be part of a team that embodies Hilton's core values: spreading the warmth and light of hospitality, acting with integrity, inspiring leadership, fostering teamwork, owning accountability, and maintaining urgency and discipline to make a lasting impact.
At Hilton, we believe that exceptional hospitality starts with our team members. Apart from offering a welcoming and supportive workplace environment, Hilton provides its employees with unparalleled perks such as discounted travel opportunities worldwide, an employee stock purchase program, paid parental leave, personalized caregiving support, mental health resources, generous paid time off, and comprehensive health and welfare benefits. Employees are supported not just professionally but personally, ensuring a balanced and rewarding career.
Joining The Beverly Hilton means becoming part of an award-winning workplace culture recognized globally for its dedication to employee satisfaction and guest excellence. With over 3 billion guests welcomed across its global network, Hilton remains committed to its mission of filling the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality. Those who join this esteemed hotel do not merely take on a job—they embark on a career journey filled with growth, recognition, and the chance to be part of something truly special.
