Job Description

This job opening is presented by a reputable hotel that proudly offers exceptional lodging and hospitality services to guests. The establishment has consistently demonstrated a commitment to creating a welcoming, comfortable, and memorable experience for all visitors. Situated in a convenient location with modern amenities, the hotel appeals to both business and leisure travelers who expect high-quality service in a pleasant and efficient environment. Known for its attentive staff and well-maintained facilities, the hotel operates with a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence to ensure a positive stay.

The role on offer is for a Front Desk Receptionist, a pivotal position within the hospitality operations. This position is focused on being the first point of contact for the guests upon arrival, and the representative face of the hotel throughout their stay. The Front Desk Receptionist will perform essential duties such as greeting and welcoming guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Responsibilities include managing the check-in and check-out process accurately while efficiently handling reservations, including pre-registration and room blocking when necessary. A strong working knowledge of the front office systems, whether computer-based or manual, is required to handle daily transactions and special reservation needs.

This role demands promptness and accuracy in all aspects, including posting charges correctly, managing cash transactions, and executing payment processing with confidence to ensure smooth financial operations. In addition, the candidate will need to have a solid grasp of hotel rates, discounts, and cancellation or relocation policies to manage bookings effectively and respond professionally to any special requests from guests.

The position is offered on an hourly basis with a pay rate of $16.25 per hour. It is ideal for candidates who possess a high work ethic, self-initiative, and enjoy contributing to a team environment focused on delivering outstanding guest experiences. Flexibility in working hours is essential as this role may require working nights, weekends, and holidays.

The job also includes physical requirements suitable for an in-office environment. Candidates must be capable of prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer for 6 to 8 hours daily, with occasional standing and walking throughout the workday. The role necessitates frequent use of fine motor skills for typing, mouse use, writing, and operating office equipment. Effective verbal and written communication skills are a must. Some physical activity such as bending, reaching, carrying items, and the ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds is also needed, alongside visual and auditory capabilities to read from screens and printed materials and participate in conversations or meetings. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to empower individuals with disabilities to excel in this role. This opportunity is well-suited to motivated individuals who thrive in vibrant, customer-focused environments and wish to develop their career in hospitality.
