As a Server at The Balfour Hotel, you play a vital role as the dining room's Most Valuable Player. This position requires you to create memorable dining moments by skillfully managing multiple tables with efficiency and grace. Your responsibilities include engaging guests with a friendly and professional demeanor, confidently guiding them through the menu, and handling orders with accuracy and speed. A deep understanding of the menu, ingredients, and dietary needs is essential to help guests make informed choices and enjoy their meals. Moreover, you are tasked with delivering food and drinks flawlessly, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety standards throughout your shift. This role demands strong stamina, as you will be on your feet, lifting and moving with energy and endurance. You will also manage payments securely and adhere to all company protocols. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably prior experience in hospitality or food and beverage service. Certifications such as Alcohol Awareness and Food Handler's Card are required to comply with state regulations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hospitality or food and beverage experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Must obtain and maintain certifications such as Alcohol Awareness and Food Handler's Card
- Physical stamina to stay on feet and handle lifting and moving during shifts
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Create warm, memorable dining experiences by greeting guests and taking accurate orders
- Know the menu thoroughly including ingredients, dietary needs, daily specials, and alcohol service guidelines
- Deliver food and drinks quickly and accurately to ensure guest satisfaction
- Manage multiple tables efficiently, maintain cleanliness and composure during busy periods
- Process payments accurately and securely following all company protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the service area adhering to hygiene regulations
- Stay energized, lifting and moving with strength and endurance throughout shifts
