Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior baking experience preferred
  • food safety certification required
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and safety instructions
  • willingness to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in baking or related field
  • established proficiency in baking methodologies, criteria, and health and safety protocols
  • food safety certification
  • competency in basic arithmetic and numerical calculations
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • ability to manage physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing
  • ability to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required

Job Duties

  • create a selection of baked treats by adhering to production standards and following prescribed recipes
  • organize workstation with all required baking equipment and ingredients
  • prepare components by measuring, weighing, combining, chopping, and other essential preparation steps
  • operate baking machinery including ovens, stovetops, and mixers
  • use utensils such as knives carefully and responsibly when preparing meals
  • maintain proper storage of food in accordance with safety regulations
  • sanitize work areas, equipment, and tools after use to maintain cleanliness standards
