Within this role, the Grocery Clerk will be responsible for preparing items as per customer requests using bakery equipment, offering product samples to encourage customer exploration, and informing customers about bakery and deli specials. Maintaining freshness by checking product quality, managing inventory, and adhering to temperature control and food safety regulations are essential aspects of the position. The clerk will also be engaged in using various kitchen equipment responsibly and following recipes strictly to prepare food items. Strong knowledge of store layout and product location is necessary to assist customers efficiently.
