This role is a Grocery Clerk position within the Bakery/Deli department at King Soopers. It offers an exciting opportunity to directly interact with customers, providing exceptional service that creates outstanding and memorable shopping experiences. As a Grocery Clerk in this department, your responsibilities will include preparing bakery and deli items per customer requests using the proper equipment, sampling products to encourage customer discovery, and ensuring that customers receive fresh items with accurate portion sizes to minimize shrinkage. Additionally, you will inform customers about bakery and deli specials, recommend related products, and maintain quality control by checking freshness and sell-by dates. This role also encompasses performing food preparation tasks such as mixing ingredients following recipes, operating kitchen equipment including refrigerators, ovens, slicers, fryers, and steamers, as well as packaging and labeling products appropriately.

The Grocery Clerk serves as an essential link between the customer and the department by providing knowledgeable answers to product questions and assisting customers in locating items. Maintaining a clean and safe environment is a critical aspect of this position, along with adhering strictly to all food safety regulations and store policies.
