Job Requirements

- Ability to operate bakery and deli equipment

Job Duties
- Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- Inform customers of bakery and deli specials
- Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- Recommend deli or bakery items to customers
- Use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients following recipes
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality for freshness and review "sell by" dates
- Properly use kitchen equipment including stove, scale, fryer, steamer, robot coupe
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report ordering and shipping discrepancies to department manager
- Understand store layout to assist customer product location
- Stay current with ads and promotions
- Gain and maintain product knowledge
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions
- Ensure proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create welcoming environment for customers
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed
