The Grocery Clerk must stay informed regarding product specials, seasonal promotions, product freshness, and store layout to assist customers effectively and provide recommendations based on customer needs.

In addition to preparing and presenting products, the Grocery Clerk will ensure proper handling and storage of perishable items by adhering to established temperature logs and food safety procedures. The role requires vigilance in inspecting product quality, managing shrinkage by providing correct portion sizes, tracking product orders and discrepancies, and maintaining communication with management about any issues or maintenance needs.

This position is integral to creating a safe and clean shopping environment. The Grocery Clerk will actively participate in promoting safety programs, identifying hazardous conditions, and reporting them promptly to store management.
