Job Requirements

- Previous retail or grocery experience preferred

Job Duties
- Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- Inform customers of bakery and deli specials
- Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size
- Recommend deli or bakery items to customers
- Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment
- Prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality and review sell by dates
- Use kitchen equipment like stove, scale, fryer, steamer, robot coupe
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report ordering/shipping discrepancies
- Locate products within the store
- Stay current with ads and product knowledge
- Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions
- Ensure proper case and cooler temperatures and maintain logs
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
