Additionally, the position entails operating various kitchen and bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens, fryers, steamers, and computerized scales while observing strict company guidelines and safety procedures.
Further responsibilities include monitoring product freshness by checking expiration dates, managing stock levels, reporting ordering or shipment discrepancies to the department manager, and upholding an organized and clean work environment. This role requires the Grocery Clerk to remain up to date on current, seasonal, and upcoming promotions as well as maintaining an in-depth knowledge of product offerings to assist customers effectively and make informed recommendations.
