Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in bakery or deli preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • good physical stamina
  • ability to follow food safety guidelines
  • basic math skills
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
  • offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about
  • inform customers of bakery and deli specials
  • provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
  • recommend deli or bakery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need
  • use all bakery equipment according to company guidelines
  • prepare foods according to food temperature logs and follow cooking instructions
  • measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment
