Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in bakery or deli preferred
ability to stand for extended periods
good physical stamina
ability to follow food safety guidelines
basic math skills
strong customer service orientation
ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

knowledge of food safety regulations
basic math skills for measuring ingredients and handling portions
good communication and customer service skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment

ability to operate kitchen and bakery equipment safely

Job Duties

prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about
inform customers of bakery and deli specials
provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
recommend deli or bakery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need
use all bakery equipment according to company guidelines
prepare foods according to food temperature logs and follow cooking instructions
measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment
