Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in bakery or deli preferred
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to use bakery equipment such as ovens, slicers, refrigerators
Strong communication skills
Ability to stand for extended periods
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about
Inform customers of bakery and deli specials
Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
Recommend deli or bakery items to customers to ensure their needs are met
Use all bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines
Prepare foods according to food temperature logs and follow cooking instructions
