Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous grocery or food service experience preferred
- Ability to operate bakery and deli equipment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Capable of lifting moderate weights as required
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties
- Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products
- Inform customers of bakery and deli specials
- Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes
- Recommend deli or bakery items to customers
- Use all bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality for freshness
- Use kitchen equipment such as stove, scale, fryer, steamer, robot coupe
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report ordering and shipping discrepancies
- Locate products within store
- Stay current with sales, seasonal, and special ads
- Gain and maintain product knowledge
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions
- Ensure proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create welcoming environment answering customer questions
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Inspect and report equipment needing repair
