Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates and customers
- Ability to read, count, and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area, and register area
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the department
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and stoop occasionally
- Good finger dexterity and feeling
- Ability to perform frequent repetitive motions
- Ability to talk, hear, and have visual acuity
- Ability to move or transfer merchandise weighing 0-75 pounds
- Ability to work varied hours and days as business dictates
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods
- Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 75 pounds
- Basic math and reading skills
- Knowledge of merchandising and product presentation preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of customer service
- Ensure sales floor product is of highest quality and freshness
- Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, and advertisements
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping
- Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise
- participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock
- ensures re-wraps are done promptly
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention policies
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
