Job Duties
- Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- inform customers of bakery specials
- provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- recommend bakery items to customers
- use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and ovens according to company guidelines
- prepare foods following food temperature logs and cooking instructions
- measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipe
- package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- check product quality for freshness and review sell by dates
- use kitchen equipment including stove, computerized scale, fryer, steamer, robot coupe
- label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- report ordering and shipping discrepancies
- understand store layout and locate products when requested
- stay informed on current, future, seasonal, and special ads
- maintain knowledge of products and answer customer questions
- monitor inventory and note discrepancies
- ensure proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs
