Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or bakery experience preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must comply with food safety and sanitation standards
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to follow directions and operate bakery equipment safely

- Good basic math skills
- Ability to obtain a current food handler's permit after employment
Job Duties
- Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- Inform customers of bakery specials
- Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrink
- Recommend bakery items to customers
- Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and ovens according to guidelines
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment
- Package, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise
- Check product quality and review sell-by dates
- Use kitchen equipment including stove, scale, fryer, steamer, and robot coupe
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to management
- Locate products for customers
- Stay current with seasonal and special ads
- Maintain product knowledge
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions
- Ensure proper temperatures and maintain logs
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Display a positive attitude
- Inspect equipment for maintenance needs and notify management
- Report accidents, safety risks, and illegal activities
- Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
