The role being offered is a Bakery Associate position within the store's bakery department. A current food handler’s permit is required upon employment. Practical experience in bakery or cake decorating, retail experience, or proficiency in a second language is highly desired and will contribute to the associate’s ability to serve a diverse customer base effectively. The bakery associate will be responsible for working with bakery equipment such as ovens, refrigerations units, freezers, and computerized scales following company protocols. Maintaining product quality by monitoring freshness, 'sell by' dates, and proper product rotation is critical to this role.

This role not only involves direct bakery tasks but also extends to supporting safety programs, participating in preventive maintenance of equipment, and reporting any issues related to safety or product quality. The bakery associate will also be tasked with tracking inventory discrepancies, assisting in stock organization, and reporting any irregularities to management.
