Working within the bakery department, you will be expected to prepare bakery items using proper bakery equipment, offer product samples, inform customers of bakery specials, and provide excellent customer service by making product recommendations. You will manage product freshness by checking "sell by" dates and adhering to food safety regulations, ensuring proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintaining temperature logs. This role requires attentiveness to inventory and stock conditions and proactive communication with management about ordering, shipping discrepancies, and safety issues.
