This position focuses on delivering outstanding customer experiences by providing exceptional service. The candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assisting the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals for the department, while monitoring all established quality assurance standards, is a key component of the role. Key responsibilities include gaining and maintaining in-depth product knowledge, particularly within the bakery department, offering product samples, preparing bakery items including wedding cakes using proper equipment, decorating various bakery products, and recommending items to customers. The role also involves checking quality and freshness, stocking, labeling, pricing merchandise, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to all health, safety, and regulatory standards. Candidates must be vigilant about safety programs and preventive maintenance, reporting any safety risks, equipment issues, or suspicious activities to management promptly.
