We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Associate to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring that every customer experience is outstanding through exceptional service and product knowledge. The Bakery Associate will assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. They will work closely with the department manager to help achieve sales and profit goals by adhering to all quality assurance standards and company policies. In this role, the Bakery Associate will be responsible for creating an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated. This includes answering questions about products sold within the department and throughout the store, offering product samples, and preparing bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment. The associate will also recommend bakery items to customers, check product quality to ensure freshness, decorate various bakery goods, and manage inventory tasks such as labeling, stocking, signing, and keeping track of merchandise. Adherence to health and safety regulations is paramount, as is supporting safety programs and reporting any safety risks or issues promptly.

The Bakery Associate must be familiar with the store layout to assist customers effectively and stay updated on current and upcoming promotions, seasonal items, and special advertisements. This position demands attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining the bakery department's inventory and equipment. The associate will also play a critical role in loss prevention by monitoring product ordering, shipping discrepancies, and overall inventory conditions.
