They are also expected to manage inventory, check product quality for freshness, and ensure all bakery items meet the company's high standards.

This position requires continuous attention to detail for labeling, stocking, signing, and inventory management within the department. The employee will monitor product ordering and shipping discrepancies and communicate issues to the department manager. They must also maintain awareness of stock conditions, address any discrepancies promptly, and comply with all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations related to food safety and merchandising.

In addition to these operational tasks, the employee plays a vital role in reinforcing the store's safety programs by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions and ensuring preventive maintenance of bakery equipment. Staff must promptly notify management of any repairs needed and report all safety risks, illegal activities, including robbery, theft, fraud, or any customer or employee accidents.

Candidates for this role should be capable of performing all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. The job demands strong communication skills, the ability to handle stressful situations, and basic math knowledge. While any retail or bakery/cake decorating experience is essential, knowledge of a second language is a desirable asset, aiding in effective communication with a diverse customer base. Job Duties
