The Bakery Associate role is a key customer-facing position within the store's bakery department. The incumbent is responsible for creating and sustaining an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service and product knowledge while assisting in preparation, decoration, and stocking of bakery products such as cakes, pastries, cookies, cupcakes, and wedding cakes. This position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail setting and can handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism. Associate duties include product sampling to encourage trial and discovery, baking and decorating items according to customer specifications, and ensuring all bakery merchandise is properly labeled, inventoried, and fresh. The associate will also assist with store merchandising, maintaining awareness of inventory levels and promptly reporting discrepancies and staff or store safety concerns.

In this role, excellent communication skills are essential for effectively answering customer inquiries and providing recommendations on products. The ability to work cooperatively with a diverse team and adhere to all regulatory and company standards regarding food safety, labor control, loss prevention, and maintenance is mandatory.
