The role available is a frontline Team Member position focused on customer service, stocking, and sanitation duties within one of Whole Foods Market's retail locations. Team Members are vital in creating a welcoming shopping environment by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and co-workers alike. Responsibilities include weighing, pricing, and packaging customer orders, understanding menu items and specials, adhering to cash handling procedures, and monitoring freshness and quality of products. Job Requirements

  • No prior retail experience required
  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • exposure to temperatures below freezing, refrigerator range, and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • Weighs, prices, and packages customer orders
  • understands venue menus, stays abreast of specials and menu changes
  • follows cash handling procedures related to service venues
  • monitors product quality and freshness and ensures proper product rotation
  • completes product spoilage and transfer records as needed
  • provides excellent customer service and addresses customer needs in a timely and effective manner
  • maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
