The Bakery team member role involves assisting in receiving and preparing bakery products, maintaining product displays, and ensuring a fresh and appealing environment that aligns with the brand’s high standards. This position plays a vital part in enhancing the customer experience by keeping bakery cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and visually attractive. The role also requires handling deliveries, breaking down shipments, stocking shelves, assisting with inventory, and participating in sampling programs. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours during an 8-hour shift
- ability to perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- willing to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- adherence to health and safety standards
- punctuality and professional grooming
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- willingness to comply with company policies
- no prior retail experience required but preferred

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to learn and understand bakery products and procedures
- strong communication skills

- customer service experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Ensures fresh and appealing bakery display by cleaning and stocking shelves and cases
- receives, prepares, and rotates bakery products to maintain quality and freshness
- assists with breaking down deliveries and stocking shelves
- monitors spoilage and communicates waste to team leaders and buyers
- supports sampling programs by keeping areas clean and well-stocked
- conducts periodic inventory checks
- provides excellent customer service and responds to customer needs promptly
- follows health, sanitation, and safety regulations
- maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the bakery area
- performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- reports safety hazards immediately
- participates in store, regional, or national initiatives as directed
