Job Description
99 Ranch Market is one of the largest Asian supermarket chains in the United States, with store locations spread across multiple states, including California, Nevada, Texas, Washington, Oregon, Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia, and New Jersey. The company is dedicated to shaping the Asian supermarket culture within the grocery industry by providing authentic and high-quality Asian products to a diverse customer base. As a rapidly expanding company, 99 Ranch Market is committed to growth and welcomes new members to join its family-oriented team to help further its success. The chain prides itself on delivering excellent customer service, fresh and authentic products, and a shopping environment that celebrates Asian culinary traditions and culture.
The Management Trainee position at 99 Ranch Market offers an exciting career opportunity for those interested in supermarket operations, specifically within the bakery or other departments. This full-time role includes a detailed training program lasting 6 to 8 months, during which trainees will undergo comprehensive evaluations to prepare them for future management responsibilities. After successful completion of training, trainees will be assigned to a store where they will take on key supervisory duties, including overseeing department operations, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, managing employees, planning and ordering inventory, and maintaining product quality and displays. The role is vital in supporting store promotions, meeting sales targets, and driving customer satisfaction through efficient and effective department management.
The Bakery Supervisor trainee position requires candidates to be detail-oriented, capable of managing daily operations, and working collaboratively with the store management team. Responsibilities include managing inventory, scheduling, coaching staff, conducting physical inventory counts, and ensuring a safe and clean workplace. Trainees will also be trained to use technology systems for label updating, price sign printing, and inventory management. The role demands physical stamina to work in varying temperature environments and handle lifting and standing for long periods. Flexibility in work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and travel between store locations for training, is essential.
The salary for this full-time position starts at $20 per hour, with shift requirements including weekends, holidays, and the possibility of overtime hours totaling 40 to 45 hours per week. The work location for this position is 7780 W. Arrowhead Towne Center, Glendale, AZ 855308. Candidates will benefit from a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, dental, and life insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, paid time off, employee discounts, and recognition through long-term service awards. 99 Ranch Market values bilingual capabilities, particularly in English, Chinese, and Spanish, and places a strong emphasis on alignment with company values and dedication to customer service.
This opportunity is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to grow their careers in retail management within a culturally rich and expanding supermarket chain. The company encourages team members to grow professionally and contribute to its mission of delivering quality Asian groceries and an exceptional shopping experience.
